Teledyne Controls, LLC
Quality Assurance Overview

Teledyne Controls Quality Management System (QMS) is designed to meet customer requirements and improve quality.  Our quality system ensures that our products and services comply with customers and regulatory requirements, perform as expected, and are reliable.  The quality system also ensures that continuous quality improvement projects and initiatives are not only applied for our products and services provided to our customers but also for our internal processes, systems, and operations.

The basic platform of our quality management system is AS9100 Rev C and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008.  Teledyne Controls has been certified and registered to ISO 9001 since 1995.  In 2003, we also achieved AS9100 certification by our ANAB-accredited registrar Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The quality management system is centered around meeting customer requirements and customer satisfaction, and its primary elements are broken down into Main Processes, Support Processes, Sub-Processes, and Material Flow.  A significant element of our quality system is our Design Quality Assurance (DQA), Factory Quality Control and Supplier Quality Control processes. Our Software Design and Development activities meet the requirements of AS9115 and RTCA/DO 178B.

In addition to complying with AS9100 and ISO 9001, our quality system also satisfies all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for operating an FAA Part 21 approved production facility, whereby we hold hundreds of Parts Manufacturing Approvals (PMAs) and Technical Standard Orders (TSOs).  Teledyne Controls' Regulatory Certification activity has resulted in the FAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) issuing Teledyne Controls more than 100 Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs).   Additionally, our Repair Station is approved by the FAA, EASA, and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
