Freebird Airlines Selects Teledyne Controls' EFB Applications to Enhance their EFB Operations on the Flight Deck

El Segundo, CA - April 30, 2010 - Teledyne Controls, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), announced today that Turkish charter Freebird Airlines has selected Teledyne Controls' Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) software applications to run on EFB equipment installed on their Airbus A320/A321 fleet. Teledyne's EFB applications will streamline Freebird's flight deck operations and facilitate information exchange between onboard EFBs and back office ground-based networks.

The suite of applications selected by Freebird includes Teledyne's Flight Manager, which provides an integrated operating system for the software suite, as well as Document Viewer, Performance Tool, Weight & Balance, and Forms Viewer. Also included in their package is the ground-based LRU Configuration Manager (LCM) which facilitates bi-directional electronic transfer of data between airborne EFBs and ground systems, providing the ability to access and manage important documents on the flight deck during all phases of flight.
