Yana Volovich Receives AAI Volare Award at AMC 2006

LOS ANGELES, CA - April 4, 2006 - Teledyne Controls is very pleased to announce that Ms. Yana Volovich has received at AMC 2006 the Airline Avionics Institute's (AAI) Volare Award in recognition for significant individual achievement in the category of avionics product support.

The AAI has presented 232 awards since 1968 and Yana is the first woman to receive the Volare award in any category. Congratulations!!

After earning a degree in Electronics Engineering at the Institute of Radio Electronics, Yana Volovich started her career at the Research and Development Computer Center where she worked for 17 years. In 1979, she joined Teledyne Controls as a Technical Specialist. Recognized for her outstanding work, she was made Sustaining Manager with the task of overseeing the technical and field support of all data acquisition and recording product lines. She has been Teledyne Controls' representative at the AMC since 1988, researching and working to successfully resolve agenda items.

The Airline Avionics Institute (AAI), which was founded in 1967, is incorporated in the United States, as a non-profit organization, under the laws of the State of Florida. AAI encourages the contribution of ideas, leadership and innovation by presenting up to five VOLARE Awards each year. These awards recognize individuals in both supplier and airline organizations for outstanding personal achievement on behalf of the civil aviation electronics community. About AMC
The Avionics Maintenance Conference (AMC) is an air transport industry activity sponsored by Aeronautical Radio, Inc. (ARINC). The objectives of AMC are to promote reliability and reduced operating cost in air transport avionics by improving maintenance and support techniques through the exchange of technical information. The annual AMC, held every spring, provides airlines and suppliers with an opportunity to openly and collectively discuss chronic avionics maintenance questions.
